Agnivers got new job facility in Haryana: Chandigarh | The Haryana government has made an important announcement for the former Agniveer soldiers. Now the firemen of the state will get the benefit of horizontal reservation in direct recruitment in government jobs.

Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi has issued a letter to implement this policy. Prior to this policy prepared after many discussions, the firemen will get direct benefit of reservation in various government services.

Firemen will get special relief

According to the new policy, 5% reservation will be provided on Group B skill -based posts and 5% reservation on Group C posts (except certain categories). 20% for police constables in the Home Department, 10% reservation has been fixed for the posts of police constables, forest guards in the Department of Environment, Forest and Wildlife, Warder in Jail Department and Mining Guard in Mines and Geology Department.

How to get the benefit of reservation

Reservation will be applied to the roster points prescribed to all social classes equally to divide. Selection will be fully on merit basis.

If the appropriate fire candidates are not found, then the vacant posts will be filled with other eligible candidates of the concerned class. The special thing is that in the recruitment of police constables, forest guards, jail warders and mining guards, former firemen will get exemption from physical efficiency test (PET), as their physical ability and military training is already certified.

Compulsory to give written test

Former firemen have been exempted from General Eligibility Test (CET) for Group C recruitment. Also, they will also get relief from examinations to training received in the army. However, it will be mandatory to take a written examination for the posts extracted by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission.
