Airtel outage: Airtel network has once again come to a standstill in many parts of the country including Bengaluru, causing thousands of consumers to face problems in calls and internet services. This problem has come out again after a big outage that occurred a few days ago.
According to the dowdatector, this time the complaints of network outage were recorded at 12:15 pm when about 7,109 users reported the problem. Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and some other cities were prominent among the affected areas.
Airtel’s customer service team Airtel Care, reacting to Twitter/X, said that the problem is due to temporary connectivity disruption and it will be solved within an hour. they wrote, "Sorry for inconvenience. The problem you are facing is due to a temporary network problem. It will be cured within an hour. Please turn your mobile phone restart after that."
After the network came to a standstill, many users expressed their resentment on social media. Users demanded better communication and timely information from Airtel. A user tweeted, "Is someone else’s Airtel internet closed in Bengaluru? At least inform the users what is going on." Another user wrote, "Airtel Postpaid has not been working for the last 6 hours. I am not able to call, nor data is running. Customer service is not being talked about. TRAI should take action on this."
This is the second time that there have been such a large scale complaints about Airtel. On August 18, users across the country had to face a lot of trouble to the network. On that day, more than 3,600 reports of Airtel Outage were reported on the Dowdatector around 4:30 PM, while in normal times this number is less than 15. The problem was gradually cured till 10:30 pm and the reports decreased to less than 150.
Constant network problems have raised questions on Airtel’s credibility. While the company has repeatedly described it as temporary trouble, consumers are now demanding transparency and better customer service.
