Pakistani viral sensation and singer Chahat Fateh Ali Khan has responded with his trademark wit to recent comments made by singer and musician Ali Haider during a television interview.
Ali Haider, known for his soulful music and presence in the Pakistani pop industry, recently appeared on a private TV channel where he was asked a rather unusual question: would he be willing to sing alongside Chahat Fateh Ali Khan if he were offered 200 million rupees? With a smile, Ali Haider declined the offer, saying, “Let Chahat live his life; this is his time. Perhaps one of his big prayers has been accepted by God, so we shouldn’t interfere in what’s between him and his Creator.” He further added that while people may see Chahat as a humorous or entertaining figure, he still deserves the right to live freely.
The statement quickly caught fire on social media, prompting a light-hearted yet pointed response from Chahat Fateh Ali Khan in a recent YouTube interview. Taking aim at Ali Haider’s musical career, Chahat joked about his songs and said, “He left Karachi and settled in the U.S. That’s fine—but if he refuses to sing with me even after being offered 20 crore rupees, then that’s okay too. I’m a poor man; I can’t afford such a sum anyway.”
Laughing throughout the interview, Chahat concluded by revealing that he too has plans to go to the U.S. soon, delivering the final line with his typical comedic flair. The playful exchange between the two has since become a trending topic online, with fans enjoying the unexpected celebrity back-and-forth.
The moment showcases not only the growing influence of digital personalities like Chahat but also highlights how traditional and viral fame now often collide in today’s entertainment landscape.
