Along with this, it has highlighted serious problems like ‘Hidden Hunger’ and ‘Malnutrition’. Every woman should take nutritious food, health experts are giving advice.

Difference in diet of urban and rural women

Health expert Dr. Meera Pathak gives information that, traditional Indian diet is rich in nutrients, they are rich in protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals. Apart from this, traditional things in catering are also the advantages of including jaggery laddus. There is a change in the lifestyle and living of rural women and urban women. Urban women, whether pregnant or adult, eat more processed foods, which have high amounts of additives and preservatives. Fresh food is not easily available. Their lifestyle is sharp and stressful.

For this reason, the problem of ‘Hidden Hunger’ is seen in urban areas, that is, calories are available enough, but also more, which increases problems like obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes and heart disease. However, there is a deficiency of micronutrients (vitamins, minerals, iron) in food, which weakens the body, fatigue quickly, problems like anemia and weakness of bones arise.

Fresh fruits and vegetables

Health experts further states that rural women get fresh fruits and vegetables easily and have more physical activities in their lifestyle. They are less affected by pollution. But due to lack of financial constraints and awareness, she could not take proper nutrition. Many times there are food mistakes based on myths, such as not drinking milk or eating stale food. After serving food for the family first, the habit of eating the remaining food also causes lack of nutrients. This causes the problem of ‘overt manufacturing’ in rural women, in which they are thin in appearance, they weigh down according to age and have problems like anemia, vitamins and minerals.

It is necessary to adopt this diet

Dr. Pathak suggested that to stay healthy, food, exercise and balance of rest are necessary. For this, it is important that women do conscious food and eat, pay attention to their body signals and do not ignore them. Take 8-10 glasses of water, coconut water, lemonade or buttermilk daily. Increase the amount of water in summer. Giving an important advice, he said that pregnant women should sleep left, because it increases blood flow towards the child. Avoid stress, do deep breathing exercises and meditate, and stay in a positive environment. Avoid foods with junk food, carbonated drinks and preservatives.
