A huge stretch of the M11 closed after a horror crash involving three cars and a van. National Highways said the southbound section of the motorway between J14 near (Girton) and J12 near (Grantchester, Cambridge) closed and Cambridgeshire Police, Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue, East of England Ambulance Services and National Highways Traffic Officers rushed to the scene.

Motorway cameras showed huge traffic queues at J14 (St Noets) in Cambridgeshire. Fire crews removed one casualty from their vehicle and handed them over to ambulance service colleagues for medical care. The road has now reopened with delays of over 15 minutes.
