White Stuff has launched a huge sale to mark the start of autumn and it’s slashed up to 50% off some great pieces for the new season. Amongst the bargains is the Sloane Quilted Coat which is usually priced at £150, however the sale sees it slashed to just £75, saving you plenty of money.

The quilted coat is a great pick for autumn, and is the perfect combination of lightweight and not too bulky whilst still being plenty warm and cosy. Despite its hefty price cut, the quilted coat is still available in a wide range of sizes, with size 10 to 24 all still in stock across a choice of regular and petite lengths.

Some shoppers mentioned the sizing was on the big side, and recommended opting for at least one size down to stop it from being too roomy, with others mentioning that sizing down still left them plenty of space for cosy knitwear underneath. The coat is a great layering piece for the colder weather, with thick cushioned padding giving you plenty of much-needed warmth.

Rather than a traditional square or rectangular padding design, the Sloane Quilted Coat steps it up with a zig zag pattern instead, and comes in a deep green shade that pairs perfectly with all kinds of other colours. It also features a hood to keep your head warm and dry, and big deep pockets that are perfect for storing everything from your phone and wallet to dog treats and a lead on drizzly walks.

Meanwhile at Simply Be, the Black Longline Quilted Shacket is now £42 down from £70, saving you £28, and comes in a broad range of sizes. Marks and Spencer’s Feather & Down Quilted Zig Zag Coat isn’t on sale, but is priced at £110 and is selling quickly on the M&S website.

However, back with White Stuff’s Sloane Quilted Coat, shoppers have been giving it great reviews, with one saying: “It’s really well made. Beautiful, vibrant colour. Sadly too big. I’m an 8 , ordered a 6 and waaay too big. I sent it back. Such a shame as stunning jacket.”

Another agreed: “Great quality coat, gorgeous colour with brown/ beige lining. Fleece lined pockets and lovely button detail on the sides. Like previous reviewers coat runs big and I sized down from a 16 to 14. Still plenty of room for a knit and very pleased with purchase on sale.”

Some found the sizing too challenging, with one writing: “Fits far too big. Had to return every size I tried.”

Another said: “Beautiful warm coat, but despite ordering a petite fitting, it was far too big and the hood was gigantic. Most disappointed. Had to return.”

However others absolutely loved it, saying: “Really lovely. Coat light weight but warm good. Length good I’m 5 3 and doesn’t come down to my ankles.”

Another said: “Lovely length. Colour as seen on-line. Although this is a full length quilted coat it is light and incredibly soft and flexible. I bought it so as to be on early morning dog walks and it is very toasty. I would buy again. I purchased it when it was 20% off and so a bargain buy.”
