Advertising rates at over-the-top (OTT) platform have been fixed at Rs 400-500 per thousand. The sales have already intensified due to the growing interest of the festive season and the increasing interest of advertisers of categories like paint, home decoration, FMCG, jewelery and e-commerce. About 70-75% advertisement inventory for India’s matches has already been sold. Especially in India-Pakistan matches, TV advertisements are increasing by 25-35% and CTV and OTT by 30-40%.
The report said that the major success of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) in India has promoted the commercial enthusiasm of the Women’s World Cup 2025. WPL reached more than 130 million audiences and earned an advertisement revenue of about Rs 110–120 crore. Broadcaster JISTAR said that the last T20 Women’s World Cup gave double access to other competitive materials during this period. Experts estimate that the number of OTT spectators in the 2025 World Cup may increase by 80% compared to 2022 due to the International Women’s Cricket event held in WPL and India after 12 years. Taking advantage of this lead, 97% of the 2025 World Cup matches will be shown in prime time.
