New Delhi, October 16 (Read): State-run telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced a special Diwali Bonanza offer for new users, allowing them to join the BSNL network for just ₹1. The offer includes unlimited voice calls, 2GB data per day, and 100 SMS daily for a validity of 30 days.

According to the company, the ₹1 Diwali Offer is available from October 15 to November 15, 2025and is aimed at attracting new customers to BSNL’s indigenously developed 4G networkwhich was recently launched nationwide. Users will also receive a free SIM cardmeaning they can connect to the BSNL network by paying just one rupee.

The company said the offer has been rolled out as part of its “BSNL Diwali Bonanza” campaign, marking the first major promotional plan since the commercial launch of its 4G services across India. With over 98,000 4G towers deployed, BSNL aims to expand its reach and provide affordable high-speed connectivity, particularly in semi-urban and rural regions.

Under this limited-period offer, new subscribers can enjoy the benefits for 30 days, after which they can continue using BSNL’s services by selecting any regular recharge plan.

BSNL has not yet clarified whether Mobile Number Portability (MNP) customers — those shifting from other networks like Airtel or Jio — will also be eligible for the offer. However, since the plan is meant for first-time BSNL usersport-in customers may also qualify if they are joining the network for the first time.

Industry data from TRAI suggests that BSNL has shown significant growth in recent months, surpassing Airtel in new customer additions. The company is now preparing for the next phase of its network expansion, with plans to roll out 5G services across India in the coming months.
