India Pakistan Relations: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio recently said that the growing closeness between Washington and Pakistan will not affect America’s strong partnership with India. He made it clear that America’s objective is not to limit relations with Pakistan only to anti-terrorism cooperation, but also to promote partnership at the economic and strategic level.

Our relationship with India is deep, historic and very important, Rubio told a press briefing. Our talks with Pakistan are not against India. He further said that America is adopting a pragmatic foreign policy, under which it is strengthening relations with various countries. India is a mature country and it understands that we need to build relationships with different countries.
