Budget airline HK Express removed two passengers from a Da Nang–Hong Kong flight after their dispute escalated before take-off.

The airline confirmed the pair were engaged in disruptive behavior while boarding the flight on Sunday, causing a delay of nearly 90 minutes, according to the South China Morning Post.

The incident began in the departure lounge at Da Nang International Airport where a heated argument between a male and female passenger was captured on video.

The footage showed the woman accusing her companion of infidelity and physical assault and the man did not respond.

The dispute intensified on board when the female passenger began a heated argument with three flight attendants when she was unable to secure a seat next to her boyfriend, Dimsum Daily reported.

Cabin crew intervened, with one crew member reportedly falling while managing the situation.

HK Express confirmed that both passengers were escorted off the aircraft before take-off.

In a formal statement, the airline commended its crew for their professional handling of the incident, emphasizing that passenger and staff safety remains the top priority.

The flight later departed and arrived safely in Hong Kong at 10:50 p.m. local time.
