The Bombay High Court has opened a great opportunity for young people. The Court has issued a notification for the recruitment of Stenographer (High Grade) positions. The Bombay High Court Recruitment 2025 notification has been released on the Court's official website, bombayhighcourt.nic.in.

The application process began on October 27, 2025, and interested candidates can apply online until November 10, 2025. This means you still have ample opportunity to apply.

This recruitment process will fill 12 positions. The position is Stenographer (High Grade). Candidates must be between 21 and 38 years of age to apply. Candidates from reserved categories will be given relaxation in the upper age limit as per the rules.

Candidates must have completed graduation from a recognized university. If a candidate has already worked as a stenographer for five years or more in a court, tribunal, or government lawyer's office, certain requirements will be relaxed. Candidates with a law degree will be given preference in this recruitment.

Also, candidates must have a shorthand speed of 100 words per minute and an English typing speed of 40 words per minute. This means that your typing and speed will be your biggest strengths for selection to this position.

Candidates selected for this position will receive a basic salary ranging from ₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500 per month. This will include dearness allowance (DA), house rent allowance (HRA), and other government allowances.

The selection process will be completely transparent. Candidates will be selected in four stages. A written examination, a shorthand test, a typing test, and a viva voce (interview). Each stage will evaluate the candidate's language proficiency, speed, and expressive ability. The application fee is ₹1,000, which must be submitted online only.
