Erling Haaland is currently 99 not out after just over three seasons in the Premier League and can become the 35th member of the 100 club on Saturday night.
The Manchester City marksman comes up against Newcastle in the form of his life and another goal will see him hit triple figures in England's top flight. Already this season that Norwegian has scored 14 times, the most recent of his victims being Liverpool.
Haaland has found the net against Newcastle previously, but the Magpies have been a tough nut to crack at St James' Park despite their poor away form.
The former Borussia Dortmund star is someway off Alan Shearer's tally of 260, which has him top of the iconic list. Although plenty believe Haaland could rival the Newcastle legend if he chooses to remain in England for the bulk of his career. The man himself was asked about Shearer's mammoth tally and whether he could reach it earlier this month.
“I don’t really know any records, but this one I know," he replied. "I can’t think about records I can break – I try to help the team win football games. I know it’s boring, I know you want me to say the complete opposite, but it’s not how it is.”

If Haaland does find the net this weekend, he will join several former City stars in hitting three figures. Sergio Aguero, who scored 184 times, in sixth on the list. Raheem Sterling scored the bulk of his 123 goals whilst on the books at the Etihad. Andy Cole was prolific in the first decade of the Premier League and had a short stint on the sky blue side of Manchester.
It quickly became apparent that Haaland, who had excelled at Red Bull Salzburg and then Borussia Dortmund, was going to be prolific in England. He notched a brace on his debut at West Ham as he broke the record for goals in a single season in his debut campaign.
His tallies have gone 36, 27, 22 and this year he could exceed all those totals as he goes on averaging more than a goal per game. Hitting the 100 goal mark will see him draw level with Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier and he'll then have some major names in his sights.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored 103 times, Didier Drogba 104 and Paul Scholes 107. Haaland has a clear opinion on whether he'll ever reach the heights of Ronaldo, or his long-term rival Lionel Messi - as his City boss Pep Guardiola has speculated. “No, not at all, far off. No one can get close to them, so no,” he said bluntly this month.
Last season Mohamed Salah became the most prolific foreigner in Premier League history and he currently boasts a tally of 190. The top three are all Englishmen. Shearer leads the way with Harry Kane second on 213 whilst Wayne Rooney has 208. Kane could yet return later in his career in an attempt to top Shearer's figure, but he put trophies before goals when he chose to move to Bayern Munich over two years ago.
Haaland may need more than this season to start matching or exceeding some of the Premier League's most iconic goalscorers. Thierry Henry is perhaps the greatest overseas import and all 175 of his goals came with Arsenal.
Frank Lampard ended up being two shy of Henry's total whilst Michael Owen scored 150 times for the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle. Robin van Persie scored 144 times in a little over a decade in England.
Dion Dublin's career saw him play for the likes of Coventry City and Aston Villa - winning the Golden Boot in the 1990s - as he scored 111 times. That total was matched former Liverpool star Sadio Mane, another man to end the season as top scorer.
