Prince Harry has been urged to move back to the UK by one of the late Princess Diana's former friends. The 41-year-old currently lives in the US with Meghan Markle and their two children, with royal expert Tina Brown describing their life in America as a "sad" predicament.
Harry and Meghan moved to the US in early 2020, after revealing via a statement that they would be stepping away from life as senior working royals. The couple then moved to begin a new life in California with Prince Archie, before welcoming Princess Lilibet the following year.
The couple were recently spotted arriving at Kris Jenner's 007-themed birthday party earlier this month, with Ms Brown questioning whether this shows Harry as "just some guy doing PR gigs".
Speaking to the New York Times about their latest appearance in the US, Ms Brown said: "I have never seen anybody in professional life make as many mistakes as Meghan has. And unfortunately, Harry is not the brightest bulb.
"He thought that Meghan would be his guide in the big wide world beyond Buckingham Palace, and it turns out that Meghan makes one terrible professional decision after another..."
Describing Harry when he was an active member of the Firm as "upbeat" and "good with young people", she has described returning back to the UK as his "best decision".
She added, however, that the decision could prove difficult due to his fractured relationship with Prince William.
She told the publication: "It looks more and more as if Harry's best decision would be to find a way to come back to England. I'd like to see a way for him to make amends with his family, but it gets harder and harder as the years go by.
"I think that William is going to be the decider of that, and I think William has a very tough view of the whole situation, which is that the betrayal of Harry is not something that can be remedied".
Harry has previously insisted that he will "always love" the UK despite his major move to the US.
