Ladki Bahin Yojana: These Women Will Not Receive Benefits — Govt Issues Warning
Indiaemploymentnews November 24, 2025 08:40 PM

Maharashtra Government has extended the e-KYC deadline for the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana from 18 November 2025 to 31 December 2025. The extension aims to ensure that more eligible women can complete their verification and continue receiving financial assistance under the scheme.

The decision was taken due to network issues, technical glitches, and recent natural disruptions that prevented lakhs of beneficiaries from completing e-KYC on time.

🔹 Why is e-KYC mandatory?

To ensure that the benefit reaches the right and genuine beneficiaries, the government has made Aadhaar-based authentication compulsory. This move will help prevent:

  • Fake applications

  • Incorrect bank details

  • Fraudulent withdrawals

The aim is complete transparency in fund distribution.

🔹 How to Complete e-KYC?

Beneficiaries can apply online through their mobile or laptop, without visiting any office.

Steps:

  • Visit the official portal

  • Go to e-KYC section

  • Enter Aadhaar number and captcha

  • Authenticate via OTP

  • Submit husband’s or father’s Aadhaar details

  • Accept declarations and complete the form

  • (The official website link is available on government announcements and communications.)

🚫 Who Will Not Get the Benefit?

    The government has clearly warned:

    • Women who fail to complete e-KYC by December 31 will have their monthly installments stopped

    • Women who fall under special circumstances — widows, divorcees, or those with deceased husband/father — must submit required documents at local offices to continue receiving benefits

    🔹 Eligibility Requirements

    ✔ Women aged 21 to 65 years
    ✔ Permanent residents of Maharashtra
✔ Annual family income below ₹2.5 lakh

    ⚠️ Complete Verification on Time

While the new deadline brings relief to many, delay may lead to loss of financial support. Timely and correct e-KYC is essential so that only deserving women continue to receive benefits and no eligible beneficiary is left out.
