Pakistani television actress and host Nadia Khan recently shared her unique take on motivating spouses to maintain a healthy lifestyle during an appearance on Good Morning Pakistan, hosted by Nida Yasir.
Nadia, known for her hosting of The Nadia Khan Show and dramas like Bandhan, Kaisi Aurat Hoon Main, and the Netflix original Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo, offered a practical and humorous tip for husbands of overweight wives. She suggested that men frame the conversation around themselves to encourage their wives to adopt healthier habits.
She explained, “You can say to your wife, ‘I have gained weight. I am not looking good. Stop giving me dinner or cut chapati from my meal. I need to lose weight and get in shape.’ Your wife may then respond, ‘No, you are looking smart, I need to lose weight.’ This method motivates women without offending them.”
Nadia added that she has personally used this trick with her family members, inspiring them to follow her workout routines. She mentioned that her daughter, Alizeh, also adopted this approach, which positively influenced the whole household.
The host emphasized the health risks of excess weight, saying, “Men who are indifferent to their wives’ health are not showing love. Obesity can cause multiple diseases and even complicate medical procedures. Every husband wants a fit wife, and every wife also desires a healthy spouse.”
