Ranchi: After the ED action in Dhanbad, Leader of Opposition and State BJP President Babulal Marandi held a press conference in the BJP office on Wednesday and made several serious allegations against Dhanbad SSP Prabhat Kumar. He said that the SSP has made a complete centralized system of recovery. Three centers of illegal coal business have been formed in the district. He has claimed to have exposed the entire business syndicate through code words. Marandi has said that CM House is also involved in the loot of coal.

While talking to the media, Marandi said that the top officials of the police administration in a district like Dhanbad are involved in the illegal business of coal. The black empire of coal in Nabad is not a new thing, but its character has completely changed under the present government. Earlier the mafia used to steal and give commission to the police. Today the situation is such that the police and administration have removed the mafia and themselves have worn the mafia garb. Now there is no partnership, but police officers are directly running the coal mines. Today we are exposing the syndicate which is running in Dhanbad through code words. The operatives have been given code names so that the real criminals are not caught. There are three code words at work here—’Aakash’, ‘Manish’ and ‘Ajay’. In this, ‘Aakash’ is the man of SSP Dhanbad, ‘Ajay’ is the man of Kumbhnath Singh and ‘Manish’ is the man of Mukesh Singh. The third ‘Panchet Site’, which is being run with the code word ‘Anjani’. This person is Pankaj Mishra’s man. The fourth ‘Nirsa site’, which is run by Sanjay Singh. This is his real name and he is also a special man of Dhanbad SSP. Fifth, ‘Gopalichak’ and ‘Byasbara Site’, which is run by Kaushal Pandey. This SSP is also a man from Dhanbad. The limit has been reached when big sites like ‘Barora’, ‘Tedulmari’, ‘Jamuniya’ and ‘Ramkanali’ are not being run by any henchman, but by Baghmara’s DSP Purushottam Singh himself. From here every day 150 to 200 trucks, i.e. about 10,000 tonnes of illegal coal are being supplied to Bengal and local markets. This entire game is going on in a systematic hierarchy. ‘House’ i.e. the top center of power is in the role of ‘Maharaja’. SSP sir is the ‘Chief Commander’ and DC sir is the ‘General Secretary’. The profit share of all of them is fixed. Dhanbad SSP has made a centralized system of recovery. From the police station officer of the district, DSP, CO to the mining officer, everyone’s share is fixed. The right hand of this extortion syndicate is Baghmara DSP Purushottam Singh and the left hand is Inspector Ajit Bharti. Both of them together bid for the lucrative police stations and the one who bids the highest gets the police station. DSP Purushottam Singh, who has previously been under the protection of the Chief Minister, extorts that access through bullying. Their fear is so much that they have forcibly taken 50% partnership in all the mining sites. In this, former DGP Anurag Gupta has played the role of ‘protector’. When he was in charge of both CID and DGP, he used to charge different fees for both the posts. Baghmara DSP used to deliver this money to them. The serious thing is that even after his removal, recovery continues in the name of ‘DGP’. Now to which DGP this money is going, it is a matter of big investigation. In the end, the common laborers are having to pay the price of this loot with their lives. SSP Saheb has made a very big commitment in the ‘House’, to fulfill which rules are being flouted. Many laborers died after getting buried in the mine during the rainy season, but the administration silenced them with the help of money and power and did not allow the news to come out.
