Eamonn Holmes scathingly described the TV industry as "pathetic and woke". In a new interview the GB News presenter said TV hosts secretly don't get along. Eamonn, who previously fronted This Morning with ex-wife Ruth Langsford, shared his opinions on mainstream TV while appearing on the Founder Family Collective podcast, hosted by his son, Declan.

The broadcaster began: "Where television is today and the wokism that comes with it, it's just pathetic. We just get a whole raft of presenters."

He then imitated other presenters. "'Lovely to see you, we love each other - which of course we don't in real life,' but that's the way it goes," he added.

Bargain Hunt star Mark Stacey reacted to his comments and issued a brutal response.

In view of his 21,000 followers, he remarked: "Eamonn Holmes says 'wokeism' is ruining TV and bosses 'scared' of hiring controversial presenters [link to the article]."

He concluded: "Yet more tedious claptrap."

During the candid interview, Eamonn went on to praise broadcasters such as Piers Morgan, Jeremy Kyle and Jeremy Clarkson.

He complained daytime television don't want to "take the risk" on good presenters such as these.

Eamonn said: "TV don't want Piers Morgan, they don't want Jeremy Kyle, they don't want Jeremy Clarkson.

"But these are the people that bring the ratings. These are the people who are relevant.

"A lot of executives don't want to take the risk on that."
