RRB Group D Recruitment 2025: If you want a government job in the railways, then there's good news for you. More than 22,000 new vacancies will be released in Group D of the Indian Railways. The Ministry of Railways has approved this new recruitment for Level 1 posts. These include various posts such as Assistant Track Machine, Assistant (Bridge), Track Maintainer Grade IV, Assistant (TRD), Pointsman, etc. The highest number of vacancies, 11,000, is for the Track Maintainer Grade IV post. Applications will be invited for a total of 11 categories.

When will the notification for the new Group D recruitment be released?
This railway recruitment has been approved. 993 posts have been allocated to East Central Railway and 1199 posts to South Eastern Railway. The notification for this new recruitment will be released soon after the official notice is published. It is expected that the recruitment advertisement for Level 1 posts may be released in the last week of December or the first week of January. The application process will begin after the notification is released.
What are the eligibility criteria for Railway Group D?
To apply for the Railway Group D recruitment, candidates must have passed 10th grade from a recognized board. Previously, an ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certificate was required along with a 10th-grade pass, but in the last recruitment, this was removed as a mandatory qualification. In the recruitment for 32,448 posts, candidates with only a 10th-grade pass were eligible to apply. The age limit for candidates will be a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 36 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will receive age relaxation. The eligibility and age-related rules will be explained in detail in the recruitment notification.
How will the selection process for Railway Group D work?
The selection of candidates for Railway Group D will be done through various stages, including a written examination, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), document verification (DV), and medical examination. Candidates who clear the written exam will be called for the PET test in the next stage.
In the PET, male candidates will have to walk 100 meters in 2 minutes with a 35 kg weight. Female candidates will have to complete a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes with a 20 kg weight. There will also be a 1000-meter run. This eligibility and selection process is based on the previous Group D notification.
