Ahmedabad: Time – It has been the nature of the citizens of Gujarat to keep pace with technology. Among the corporations of all the states across India, Gujarat ST Corporation has achieved a special achievement by using the Online Passenger Reservation System – OPRS the most. With more than 75 thousand daily online ticket bookings across India, Gujarat ST Corporation is at the first position.

With the aim of providing clean, safe and timely travel facilities to the citizens of Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi started the Online Passenger Reservation System in the year 2010. The facilities available to citizens for travel, including online tickets, are being gradually increased under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and the leadership of Transport Minister Harsh Sanghvi. As a result, in the last two years in Gujarat, more than 4 crore passengers booked tickets online and gave a total amount of Rs. Earned an income of more than Rs 1,036 crore. It is mentioned in the list of Gujarat State Transport Corporation.

It is further mentioned in this list that, keeping in mind the facilities of the passengers, ST Corporation had started the online passenger reservation system from the year – 2010. Thereafter, from the year 2011, under the agreement of Master Franchise, passengers can also book ST bus tickets online through applications like Abhibus, Paytm. To enable the disabled passengers to book easily, the Corporation has provided a separate option for disabled booking in its web-mobile application.

After starting the online passenger reservation system, ST Corporation has gradually increased the facilities for the passengers, in which Android and iOS mobile applications (GSRTC Official) were launched from the year 2015. Passengers Mobile- Web Application www.gsrtc.in All options have been provided to easily know the reschedule-cancellation of tickets booked through PNR status, etc. Through this application, passengers will be able to book their travel tickets 60 days in advance. If there is any change in the journey, the facility of rescheduling the ticket is provided by the Corporation to the passengers without fare. A booking agency has been provided by the Corporation so that passengers can avail the benefit of booking at places where the Corporation does not have a bus stand or booking counter. In which 205 booking agents are working in the corporation. This is further mentioned in the list of Gujarat State Transport Corporation.
