The Hyderabad International Short Film Festival (HISFF) will be held at Prasads Multiplex from December 19 to 21, featuring 60 official short films, 11 North East Pavilion entries, and five classics.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad International Short Film Festival (HISFF) is set to be organised at Prasads Multiplex theatre,screens No. 4 and 5 in the city from December 19 to 21.
The festival will commence with an opening ceremony on December 19 (5 pm) and conclude with a closing ceremony on December 21 (5 pm).
A total of 704 entries, including those from Spain, Egypt, USA, UK, UAE, Sri Lanka, Netherlands, South Korea and Luxembourg, were received for the festival. The entries, according to the organisers, are the highest for any film festival in India.
Out of total, 60 short films were selected as official entries and another 11 films, which focus on North East Pavilion as well as five classic movies to enthrall the audience.
The Hyderabad International Short Film Festival (HISFF) organizing committee, Dadasaheb Phalke School of Film Studies, is offering prize money totalling Rs 3 lakh to the winners.
There will be panel discussions on contemporary themes relevant to content, form and expression in the contemporary Indian cinema as well as a masterclass for young and upcoming film enthusiasts to provide a basic template for the future filmmakers.
