The film promises "unprecedented access" to the 20 days leading up to the 2025 Presidential Inauguration, with Melania front and centre as she navigates preparations behind closed doors.

The private world of Melania Trump is set to be pulled into the spotlight in a new Amazon MGM documentary that promises unprecedented access to the first lady as she prepares for a return to the White House. A newly released trailer for Melania offers a rare behind-the-scenes look at the life of Donald Trump's wife, charting moments of pageantry, family life and the security pressures that come with being married to the US president.

The film opens with Melania in the striking black-and-white hat she wore to her husband's second inauguration in January, turning to the camera and saying: "Here we go again." Quick-cut footage shows presidential ceremonies, the Trumps' Mar-a-Lago home, intimate family photographs and scenes from inside the East Wing, alongside appearances from her son Barron and her father, Viktor Knavs. The trailer also captures Melania asking a man believed to be a secret service agent: "Is it safe?" The 104-minute documentary is set for a theatrical release on January 30 and will later be released on Amazon Prime.

The doc begins with Melania, in her now famously large, wide-brimmed hat in the Capitol Rotunda for her husband Donald Trump's swearing-in ceremony. "Here we go again," she says to the camera.

Melania Trump is shown mid-meeting in the first trailer for Melania, Amazon MGM Studios' upcoming documentary following her return to the White House.

A dramatic entrance to her husband's inaugural ball sets the tone as Melania Trump arrives flanked by security, with Donald Trump visible behind her. The film invites audiences to "Witness History in the Making" as Melania prepares to reassume the role of First Lady of the United States.

Melania Trump is seen aboard Air Force One, offering a rare look inside presidential travel during the high-stakes transition period. The documentary features exclusive footage of "critical meetings" and "private conversations" as Melania moves between New York, Florida and Washington.

Melania will stream on Prime Video following its theatrical run. In addition, the studio said there will be an accompanying three-part docuseries, which will follow h as she is ferried between Trump Tower in New York City, Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach and Washington, D.C., where her husband assumed power after winning the 2024 presidential election.
