26 year old television actress **Nandini CM** (also known as Nandini MC) was found dead in her paying guest accommodation in Mailasandra, Kengeri, Bengaluru on December 29, 2025. Police suspect suicide and have registered an unnatural death report (UDR No. 76/2025). The incident occurred between 11:16 pm on December 28 and 12:30 am on December 29.

Nandini had returned to her PG at around 11:23 pm after meeting a friend. When he stopped responding to calls, the friend alerted the staff, who broke down the door and found him unconscious. He was declared dead on the spot.

A diary/note has been recovered in which grief was expressed about career difficulties, family pressures (including her decision to turn down a government job offer on compassionate grounds and take up acting after her father’s death in 2021), expectations of marriage and depression. His mother, GR Basavarajeshwari, has filed a complaint which does not suspect any foul play.

Nandini, originally from Kottoor (Vijayanagar/Ballari district), left engineering and came to Bengaluru in 2018-2019 for acting training. She worked in Kannada serials like **Jeeva Hoovagide**, **Sangharsha**, **Madhumagalu** and **Neenade Na** and gained recognition in Tamil for the lead double roles (**Kanaka** and **Durga**) in **Gauri**.

His sudden death has shocked the industry and fans, drawing attention to mental health concerns. Investigation is ongoing.
