Kannada and Tamil TV star Nandini CM has tragically died by suicide at the age of 26, leaving the industry in shock. The Indian actress was found in her Bengaluru accommodation, a paying guest facility, on Monday (December 29), according to reports. She had been staying at the accommodation in Mylasandra, Kengerie, for some time due to her filming schedule.

According to police, the incident is believed to have occurred between 11.16pm on December 28 and 12.30am on December 29. Officers were called to the property at approximately 9.15am on December 29.

On the fateful night, she returned home after meeting a friend for dinner, but she caused concerns when she stopped answering calls later that night. It is understood that the door to her room was forced open, where she was found unresponsive inside.

Officials also allegedly discovered a diary, thought to be belonging to Nandini, which was said to contain a note highlighting her desire to continue acting.

Following the heartbreaking news, the actress's mother, GR Basavarajeshwari, filed a complaint for further legal action. No official confirmation has yet been made regarding other factors linked to her death, which is currently under investigation.

The Kannada and Tamil TV star was a well-known face in South India and was known for her role in Gauri. She was also known for her performance in the Kannada serials Jeeva Hoovage, Neenaade Na, Sangharasha, and Madhumaga.

Born in Karnataka's Ballari district, she completed most of her education near her home. She later moved to Bengaluru to pursue higher education in engineering.

But after she moved to the big city, she fell into acting and started training as an actress in Rajarajeshwari Nagar. According to Moneycontrol, after her father's passing, Nandini was offered a government job, which she ultimately turned down.

She became more serious about her acting career and later dedicated her life to the craft. If you have been affected by this story, you can contact the Samaritans by calling 116 123 or visiting their website.
