Mohanlal’s epic film 'Vrusshabha' is not able to move forward at the box office even after seven days. The film is holding very weak numbers from day one and there is no sign of improvement.
The total worldwide collection of the film stands at only Rs 2.16 crores on day 7. The India net collection is Rs 1.64 crores, while India gross is Rs 1.91 crores. Overseas collection is also low at Rs 25 lakhs.
According to the Sacnilk site, the Malayalam version collected just Rs 3 lakhs on day 3.
Malayalam version fails to pick up The Malayalam version of 'Vrusshabha' is also struggling badly. The total Malayalam net box office collection till day 7 is Rs 1.1 crores. On day 7, the film earned only Rs 3 lakhs. Day 6 collection was Rs 6 lakhs and day 5 stood at Rs 9 lakhs.
Hindi, Telugu and Kannada numbers stay very small
The Hindi version of 'Vrusshabha' has collected a total of Rs 10 lakhs till day 7. On day 7, the film earned just Rs 1 lakh. Day 6, day 5, and day 4 also saw the same Rs 1 lakh each.
The Telugu version has earned Rs 38 lakhs in total. On day 7, it collected Rs 5 lakhs, while day 6 earned Rs 1 lakh and day 5 earned Rs 6 lakhs.
The Kannada version is the weakest performer. The total collection is only Rs 6 lakhs, with each day bringing around Rs 1 lakh from day 2 to day 7.
Makers speak about quality and big vision
Earlier, in an interview with TOI city, the makers spoke about the effort behind the film. They said, “We never compromise on quality. Our commitment has always been to deliver the best possible cinematic experience to the audience — a perfect festive gift to all Lalettan fans and cinema lovers across the world.”
They also shared that the project involves extensive post-production and cutting-edge VFX work. A motion poster was released to show the epic scale of the film.
'Vrusshabha' is directed by Nanda Kishore and stars Mohanlal along with Ragini Dwivedi, Neha Saxena, Ramachandra Raju, Mohammad Ajum Ali, and Nayan Sarika.
