Many programs are being organized across the country on the 150th anniversary of the national song Vande Mataram. A historic event is also going to be held in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. To commemorate the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram song, a historic event of mass singing of Vande Mataram will be organized simultaneously in all the government and private educational institutions of Raipur, Baloda Bazar and Bhatapara districts. MP Brijmohan Aggarwal gave this information on social media.
Brijmohan Aggarwal said that on the auspicious occasion of Army Day on January 15, a grand and historic event of mass Vande Mataram dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram will be organized in Raipur Lok Sabha constituency. About 5 lakh students in more than 3000 government and private educational institutions of Raipur and Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara will create a wonderful and unforgettable scene of patriotism by singing Vande Mataram together. The main venue of the event will be Subhash Stadium, Raipur, where 25,000 students will collectively sing Vande Mataram. You all are cordially invited. Come, let us witness this Mahakumbh of patriotism.
MP Aggarwal said that ‘Vande Mataram’, written by the great litterateur and patriotic poet Bankim Chandra Chatterjee on 7 November 1875, played an important role in awakening the consciousness of patriotism among the people during the Indian freedom struggle. This program organized on the glorious occasion of its 150th anniversary and Army Day will further strengthen the spirit of dedication, discipline and patriotism in the minds of today’s generation.
He said that this event is not limited to just the collective singing of ‘Vande Mataram’, but it is a historic effort to connect the coming generations with a sense of duty towards the nation, respect for the Indian Army and unwavering devotion towards Mother India.
Students will gather in all the institutions on January 15 at 11 am. First the preamble will be read and then patriotic cultural programs will be organized from 11.30 to 12.30. Collective singing of Vande Mataram will start exactly at 12.55 pm in the entire area.
Let us tell you that to make this program historic, MP Aggarwal had held a meeting with the officials on Saturday regarding the preparations for the function. In the meeting, the MP issued necessary guidelines to the officials of different departments. Program coordinator Dansingh Dewangan said that Raipur will be the first Lok Sabha constituency in the country, where 5 lakh youth will sing Vande Mataram at the same time.
