Referring to her visits to India, Lucrezia said that she had come to India for the first time in 2024. After this she came to Mahakumbh in 2025 and now has reached Prayagraj to attend Magh Mela in 2026. Lucrezia said, after Prayagraj, I am planning to go to Varanasi, which is considered to be the oldest city in the world. Lucrezia is currently on a 10-day visit to India. During this, he also talked about his connection with his spiritual guru and the lessons he learned from him.
She said, “My guru teaches me kindness, compassion and giving up unnecessary things. He says accepting yourself is the biggest learning. He has given up everything, so he has everything. I love the way he lives his life.” Saints and Mahatmas from various Sanatan traditions took part in the first royal bath of Magh Mela. The 44-day long Magh Mela started on January 3 at Triveni Sangam with the holy bath of Paush Purnima. There will be six major bathing festivals during this period and the fair will conclude with the last bathing of Mahashivratri on 15th February.
Till now lakhs of devotees have taken a dip of faith in Sangam. According to officials, around 22 lakh devotees took the holy bath on January 3 alone. This number is expected to increase further in the coming days. Major bathing dates this year include Makar Sankranti on 14 January, Mauni Amavasya on 18 January, Basant Panchami on 23 January, Maghi Purnima on 1 February and Mahashivratri on 15 February.
Extensive security arrangements have been made on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. More than 1,500 CCTV cameras have been installed in the city and fair area, which are being monitored 24 hours a day from a centralized command centre. Crowd management and safety has been ensured through modern equipment, public address system, watch towers and active water police. The grand commencement of Magh Mela 2026 with the presence of a large number of devotees, elaborate arrangements and deep spiritual spirit has once again established Prayagraj as the eternal center of faith and culture.
