A major accident was averted at Delhi Airport on Thursday. A baggage container got stuck in the engine of an Air India plane. After this the engine of the Air India plane broke down. The container had hit the engine of Air India's A350 aircraft. The video of this incident is going viral on social media. However, no official statement from Air India has come out regarding this incident at present.

Air India's New York-bound A350 flight took off, but due to closure of Iran's airspace, it had to return to Delhi midway. When the plane was moving on the runway amidst dense fog after landing in Delhi, a ground container collided with its right engine. However, the plane had landed safely and all the passengers are safe.

The aircraft has been grounded for investigation. An Air India spokesperson said that the aircraft is currently grounded for complete inspection and necessary repairs, which may lead to possible disruptions on some A350 routes.
