Under the chairmanship of the Honorable Leader of the House in the Legislative Council, Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya, instructions were given to officials in Legislative Council Room No. 77 regarding issues raised in the House related to basic, secondary, and higher education. The state government is in full action mode to make the state's education system more robust and transparent.Keshav Prasad Maurya directed all senior officials of the Education Department to create a joint WhatsApp group for the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council and all members of the Legislative Council. The main objective of this group is to directly convey various public welfare schemes run by the government and official government orders issued from time to time to the Honorable members. This will bring clarity in the implementation of schemes and facilitate the exchange of information at a faster pace.Lal Bihari Yadav, Leader of the Opposition (SP), expressed his gratitude.This initiative is being appreciated in political circles because the opposition has also taken it positively. On this order of Keshav Prasad Maurya, the Leader of the Opposition, Shri Lal Bihari Yadav, not only gave his full consent but also expressed his gratitude to the Leader of the House for this step taken towards maintaining the dignity of the House and ensuring transparency of information.He directed that any discrepancies in the Basic and Secondary Education Departments should be resolved as soon as possible. He also emphasized taking swift action on pending issues of teachers and matters related to pensions. He instructed that complaints should be resolved quickly and the concerned members should be informed so that coordination is maintained between the government and the elected representatives.Instructions were also given to improve the teaching and learning environment in the state's universities and degree colleges. While discussing issues related to higher education, Maurya said that research and the implementation of the New Education Policy (NEP) should be expedited. He warned the officials to end the old culture of delaying files and focus on 'delivery'.On this occasion, Minister of State for Higher Education Smt. Rajni Tiwari, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council Shri Lal Bihari Yadav, MLC, and others were present. Mr. Avnish Singh, MLC, Mr. Chandra Sharma, MLC, Mr. Devendra Pratap Singh, MLC, Mr. Raj Bahadur Chandel, MLC, Mr. Umesh Dwivedi, MLC, Mr. Manvendra Singh Guru, MLC, Mr. Babu Lal Tiwari, MLC, Dr. Akash Agarwal, MLC, Mr. Hari Singh Dhillon, MLC, Mr. Dhruv Tripathi, and Mr. Parthasarathi Sen Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary, Secondary/Basic Education, Principal Secretary, Higher Education Mr. Mahendra Prasad Agarwal, Mrs. Nitika Rani – DG, School Education, and other officers of the Education Department were present.
