Punjab National Bank (PNB) has unveiled a promising opportunity for the youth by announcing the recruitment of apprentices for the financial year 2025-26. This initiative aims to provide graduates with valuable work experience in the banking sector. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online from February 8 to February 24, 2026, via the BFSI SSC portal. During the apprenticeship, candidates will also receive a monthly stipend, offering them financial support.


To be eligible for the PNB apprentice recruitment, candidates must possess a graduate degree in any field from a recognized university or institution, with results declared by December 31, 2025. Additionally, candidates registered with NATS should have obtained their degree no more than four years prior to January 1, 2026.


Age Criteria and Relaxation Details


Candidates must be between 20 and 28 years old as of January 1, 2026, meaning they should be born between January 2, 1998, and January 1, 2006. Age relaxation is applicable for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Classes, and Persons with Disabilities as per government regulations. For those applying under NAPS, the upper age limit is extended to 34 years.

Stipend and Training Duration


Selected candidates for the PNB Apprentice Recruitment 2026 will receive a monthly stipend throughout their training period. Trainees in rural, semi-urban, and urban branches will earn ₹12,300 per month, while those in metro branches will receive ₹15,000 per month. No additional allowances will be provided during this apprenticeship, which lasts for one year, including two weeks of basic training followed by 50 weeks of practical training.


Steps to Apply


Candidates must first complete the online application and pay the examination fee. Subsequently, they are required to register on the NAPS and NATS portals using the same email ID and mobile number. Finally, candidates must update their NAPS Apprentice Code and NATS enrollment number on the BFSI SSC portal. It is advisable to keep a printout of the application for future reference.
