Emma Raducanu was forced to pull out of her first-round match at the Qatar Open due to illness. The contest marked the British No.1's first outing since her defeat to Sorana Cirstea in the Transylvania Open final last week.
Raducanuwas facing Camilla Osorio in the opening round in Doha, but had to withdraw through illness early in the third set. Osorio was leading 2-0 in the third and final set when Raducanu required a blood pressure check from the on-court physio.
The British tennis star had dominated the first set 6-2, but lost the second 6-4, with Osorio breaking serve in the opening game of the third set.

Following a bathroom break before the third set began, Raducanu looked fatigued and was broken by Osorio in the first game of the decider.
Osorio then held serve in the second game to establish a 2-0 advantage, prompting Raducanu to approach the net and concede the match, exiting the tournament at the earliest stage.
There are now doubts over whether Raducanu, ranked world No. 25, will compete at the Dubai Championship which begins next week.

Raducanu's clash with Osorio came just two days after her final loss to Cirstea at the Transylvania Open in Romania, where there had been concerns about the 23-year-old's wellbeing.
The 2021 US Open champion was defeated in straight sets by Cirstea, missing out on her first opportunity to clinch a WTA title since her triumph across the pond over four years ago.
During the second set of that loss in Romania, Raducanu had a blood pressure check after the physio was hastily called onto the court to evaluate her health.
Raducanu managed to finish the match, but with a scoreline of 6-0 6-2, she missed the chance to add another title to her tally.
It's yet to be determined whether Raducanu will participate in the Dubai Championship next week or if the British No. 1 will take a break from tournament play.
The exit from the Qatar Open comes just a couple of weeks after Raducanu lost to Anastasia Potapova in the second round of the Australian Open, with a wait for a second grand slam title still ongoing.
