AI – The United States–India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) is preparing to bring the largest-ever delegation of American industry leaders to India for the India AI Impact Summit 2026. The event, scheduled to take place in New Delhi from February 16 to 20, will be organised in partnership with India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

According to USISPF, more than 120 chief executives and senior technology executives from across the United States are expected to attend. The organisation described the move as a significant step toward expanding bilateral cooperation in artificial intelligence, secure digital ecosystems, and next-generation infrastructure.

Board-Level AI Task Force Announced

In advance of the summit, USISPF has unveiled a new Board AI Task Force, which will be chaired by John Chambers, former CEO of Cisco Systems. The task force aims to strengthen AI ecosystems across both countries while promoting responsible adoption and large-scale deployment of emerging technologies.

Chambers referenced Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remark that “AI stands for America and India,” underscoring the shared opportunity for collaboration. He said the initiative would focus on ensuring that artificial intelligence is developed and implemented responsibly for the nearly two billion people living in the two nations.

Leadership of the Delegation

The delegation will be jointly led by Shantanu Narayen, vice chair of USISPF and chairman and CEO of Adobe, and Raj Subramaniam, vice chair of USISPF and president and CEO of FedEx Corporation. Their leadership signals strong representation from both the technology and logistics sectors.

Senior executives from several major corporations are set to participate, including Microsoft, General Catalyst, Ericsson, Chemours, Rubrik, Uniphore, and Kore.ai. In addition to technology firms, leaders from manufacturing, supply chain management, and advanced services industries are also expected to join.

Focus on Trusted AI and Infrastructure

USISPF said the delegation’s visit will advance its TRUST Initiative, which seeks to encourage investment aimed at expanding India’s computing capacity. A key objective is to support startups that are building AI-driven solutions in areas such as public welfare and essential services.

The initiative also includes efforts to strengthen supply chain resilience. This will involve deeper coordination on semiconductor and technology supply chains, particularly through India’s participation in the Pax Silica grouping, a collaborative framework focused on secure and reliable technology ecosystems.

Official Events and Strategic Dialogues

During the summit, USISPF will host a flagship session titled “Scaling Trusted AI for 8 Billion+” at Bharat Mandapam, the venue for the main conference proceedings. The forum will also organise official engagements at The Leela Palace in New Delhi on February 18.

Alongside public sessions, a series of closed-door meetings are planned. These discussions will address national security considerations, strategic technology partnerships, and the resilience of global supply chains. Organisers say these conversations are intended to strengthen alignment on policy and long-term cooperation.

Strengthening the India–US Strategic Technology Partnership

Mukesh Aghi, president and CEO of USISPF, described the bilateral relationship as central to shaping a trusted global AI ecosystem. He noted that artificial intelligence has become a strategic priority for both governments.

India has placed significant emphasis on expanding its AI capabilities as part of its broader digital transformation strategy. Meanwhile, the United States has focused on developing trusted AI frameworks that emphasise transparency, accountability, and security. Together, these shared priorities have elevated emerging technologies to a core pillar of the broader India–US strategic partnership.

The India AI Impact Summit 2026 is expected to provide a platform for deeper collaboration between policymakers, industry leaders, and innovators from both countries. With strong participation from top American companies and senior executives, the event underscores the growing alignment between Washington and New Delhi on the future of artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure.
