Police is also investigating from which department of Penguin Publications the draft of the book was leaked through editing, typesetting or digital marketing. At the same time, did any employee share it with outside elements? Delhi Police has many questions, which Penguin has to answer.

Delhi Police can interrogate Penguin on these questions

How did the digital access leak occur? At what levels (editing, design or marketing) of your server was a type-set PDF copy of the book accessible when it was not published? Also, the police can demand a list of all those persons and freelancers who had access to this copy.

Publication Security Protocol

Delhi Police may investigate whether any special 'cyber security audit' was conducted to handle sensitive content like the book of the former army chief. Also, when did the publisher first come to know that the content of the book was leaked online and why did they not immediately inform the security agencies and if they did, then to whom?

Apart from this, what has been the role of third parties in this matter, whether the draft of this book was also shared with any foreign printing press or e-book platform or not. All these questions can come under the purview of police investigation.

What is the controversy over the book?
