Lots of parents have baby monitors at home as they help them to keep an eye on their little ones, but sometimes parents can witness something totally unexpected when they check the screen. Nobody knows this more than one mum who was stopped in her tracks when she took the time to check on her little one, and she was so floored that she had to share her story with others.
Reagan Chan, who posts under the name The Chan Family on TikTok, recently revealed what happened by sharing a video and it later went viral. While parenting involves all sorts of twists and turns, there are still some things people just don't expect to see.
It's not the first time someone has opened up about the use of baby monitors either. A few months ago, another mum also issued a warning about using the technology.
Reagan posted the clip alongside the caption: "POV: What the baby monitor sees every night", and the footage has left people gobsmacked. In fact, it's since been viewed over 40,000 times as people are so intrigued by what happened.
You then see the little one throughout the night, and he gets into all sorts of positions. At one point, he looks like he's doing a workout before he hangs over the bar of his bed.
He's also seen moving around throughout the night, and sleeping on various objects in the room. It gets to the point where he even manages to crash out on the floor after all the activity.
The footage is so wild and funny that people couldn't help but reach out to Reagan to comment. It turns out babies really do get up to all sorts when people aren't looking.
One person quipped: "How’d you become an Olympic gymnast? 'Well, my mum let me stay up all night practicing in my room as a kid'."
Another added: "So, do you just let him be all night or do you pop in there once in a while and get him to sleep?" To this, Reagan replied: "He usually goes to bed by himself pretty fast."
A third wrote: "They say when a baby goes through sleep regression it’s because they are gaining a new skill. Clearly this one craves gymnastics."
Meanwhile, a fourth also commented: "You know, as long as he's quiet and not hurting himself, I don't see the issue." One more also added: "Can’t wait to see him in the Olympics."
It's fair to say many people, including Reagan, were stopped in their tracks after watching the footage. Several couldn't get over what they were seeing.
Viewers think he has a future in gymnastics, and were also left in total amazement. One even asked what his parents were feeding him as he seemed to have so much energy.
Someone joked: "I've heard of sleep walking before but never sleep gymnastics." Another also noted: "Honestly, I love that he has a way to tire himself out by himself at night, and then can go right back to sleep when he’s ready."
