Big morning news of March 27: In view of the ongoing conflict in West Asia and the energy crisis arising from it, the government has taken an important decision. In the notification issued on March 26, the Finance Ministry has announced a reduction of Rs 10 per liter in excise duty on petrol and diesel. After this decision, excise duty on petrol has been reduced from Rs 13 to Rs 3 per liter, while the duty of Rs 10 on diesel has been completely abolished.
