Prabhu Deva, who has made crores of people crazy with his unique dance style, has seen many ups and downs in his life. There came a moment in his career when suddenly his body stopped working during the shooting, but he did not give up and came back with strength again. This passion makes them different from others.
Born on 3 April 1973 in Mysore, Karnataka, Prabhu Deva’s full name is Prabhu Deva Sundaram. His family was already associated with dance. His father Mugur Sundar was a well-known dance master of South films. Prabhu Deva was fond of dance since childhood and started learning classical dance at a very young age. By practicing at home, he improved his dance so much that later it became his identity.
Prabhu Deva started his career as a background dancer. Initially, after doing small roles and dancing, he got the opportunity of choreography. In the year 1989, he started working as a choreographer and choreographed songs like ‘Main Aisa Kyun Hoon’, ‘Muqabala’ and ‘Ke Sera Sera’. After this, he also stepped into acting and made his mark with films like ‘Kadhalan’. People liked his dance moves and screen presence very much.
After this, Prabhu Deva also entered the world of direction and achieved success here too. He directed the superhit film ‘Wanted’, in which Salman Khan was seen. This film not only created a stir at the box office, but also established Prabhu Deva as a successful director in Bollywood. After this he directed many big films and achieved continuous success.
The most shocking moment of his life came when he suddenly suffered a temporary paralysis attack during the shooting of a film. He was dancing when his body suddenly stopped working and he fell on the ground. At that time the situation became very serious and he was immediately taken to the hospital. Doctors told that it was due to muscle strain. After some treatment and rest, he gradually recovered himself and returned to the world of dance. This was the most difficult period of his life, but he did not give up.
Prabhu Deva has also received many big honors for his brilliant work. He has received the National Award twice for choreography. Apart from this, he was also awarded Padmashree in the year 2019.
