New Delhi: The Budget Session of Parliament is scheduled to resume on April 16 following a short break, with the primary aim of passing legislation that will expand the Lok Sabha seats from 543 to 816. This move is crucial for the swift implementation of the women's reservation law.

According to reports, both Houses of Parliament will reconvene for a period of two to three days to discuss the proposed bills.

During a recent session in the Rajya Sabha, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju indicated that the House would reconvene shortly to deliberate on significant legislation.

Rijiju stated, “We have several bills and important matters to address, and we have communicated this to the Opposition as well. A very important Bill is on the agenda for the next two to three weeks.”

As per the government’s schedule, the House was initially set to adjourn sine die, meaning for an indefinite period.
