Two officials caught accepting Rs 3 lakh bribe by Lokayukta in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Two officials from the GBA in Thanisandra ward were caught by Lokayukta police while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 3 lakh for processing a building khata.

The accused have been identified as Revenue Inspector Venkatesh and Tax Inspector Srinivas of Thanisandra ward.

According to officials, the complaint was filed by Nyamathulla Khan, a resident of Hegde Nagar. He alleged that the officials had demanded Rs 3 lakh to complete the khata process for his building.

Based on the complaint, Lokayukta police conducted a trap and caught the accused while they were accepting the bribe amount from the complainant. Both officials were taken into custody following the operation.
