Asha Bhosle was born in 1933 in Sangli, Maharashtra. She is the daughter of famous singer Dinanath Mangeshkar. But when she was only 9 years old, her father passed away. After this the responsibility of the family suddenly fell on his shoulders. Along with elder sister Lata Mangeshkar, she started singing and tried to take care of the family at an early age. This is where his struggle began, which made him stronger.
At the age of just 16, Asha Bhosle went against her family and married Ganpatrao Bhosle, who was about 15 years older than her. He did this marriage after running away from home. However, her life was not easy after marriage. She was ill-treated at her in-laws house and was also a victim of domestic violence. The situation became so bad that she had to leave her husband's house during her pregnancy and returned to her parents' home with the children. After this, she separated from her husband and took the responsibility of the children alone.

Asha Bhosle had three children from her first marriage, named Hemant, Varsha and Anand. But, life gave him deep sorrow here too. His elder son Hemant Bhosale died of cancer in 2015, while daughter Varsha Bhosale committed suicide in 2012. These incidents shook him deeply, but he controlled himself and continued working. His younger son Anand Bhosle today handles his work and business.
Nearly two decades after the end of her first marriage, Asha Bhosle married famous musician RD Burman for the second time. The duo gave many memorable songs in the world of music. However, this togetherness did not last long and the death of RD Burman left her alone once again. Despite all the personal sorrows, Asha Bhosle never looked back in her career and continued to enthrall generations with her voice.
