Last year, on April 22, 2025, terrorists attacked the beautiful valley of Pahalgam in Kashmir and killed about 26 people. After which the greenery of the beautiful Baisaran valley turned red with blood. The local administration closed Baisaran Valley after this incident. On April 22, 2026, it will be almost a year since this incident, but even today Baisarn Valley is completely closed for tourists. Now Chamber of Trade and Industry CTI, the apex organization of businessmen and entrepreneurs in Delhi and the country, has written a letter to PM Modi demanding opening of this valley.

It is said that due to Baisaran Valley closure, about 5000 families involved in hotel, restaurant, dhaba, taxi, horse and pony business in Pahalgam and surrounding areas are in financial crisis. CTI Chairman Brijesh Goyal has written a letter to PM Narendra Modi demanding that the current situation of Baisaran Valley and the surrounding area be re-reviewed and if the security there is tight then Baisaran Valley should be re-opened for tourists. Brijesh Goyal told that Javed Burja, President of Pahalgam Hotel Association has contacted CTI and told about Pahalgam and Baisaran Valley that now there is complete peace there and the situation is normal.

Demand from PM Modi through letter

According to Javed Burja, President of Pahalgam Hotel Association, for the last one year, there has been a crisis in the livelihood of thousands of businessmen associated with hotels, restaurants as well as dhabas, taxis, horse and pony business. Because the number of tourists has reduced to only 15-20% in the last one year, now the situation is normal and there is complete peace in the entire area, hence the government should open Baisaran Valley now. Brijesh Goyal told that today CTI has written a letter to PM Narendra Modi on this issue and has demanded that the government should thoroughly inspect Pahalgam and Baisaran valley with complete security and surveillance.

Opening of Baisaran Valley will provide relief to 5 thousand families.

He has demanded that if the government is completely satisfied with the situation there, then the beautiful Baisaran Valley should be opened for tourists so that it will be a slap on the face of the terrorists and it will also be a tribute to the 26 people who were killed without any reason in this incident. With the opening of Baisaran Valley, a positive message will be sent to the entire country regarding Kashmir and Pahalgam and the hospitality and tourism sector there will be able to revive. Along with this, more than 5000 families whose livelihood is facing financial crisis will also get relief.
