Bergerac season 2 cast sees Killing Eve star and Coronation Street legend join

Bergerac's second series boasts a remarkably star-studded cast for its latest season.

Shot on location in Jersey, the critically acclaimed programme, which holds an impressive 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, premiered its second series last week (Thursday 16 April).

The show is a reimagining of the iconic Jersey-set crime drama, centring on troubled detective Jim Bergerac, played by Brassic star Damien Molony.

The original Bergerac television series aired during the 1980s, with John Nettles in the role of fictional detective Jim Bergerac. It received a reboot in 2025, with 42-year-old Damien stepping into the lead role.

Damien reprises his role as detective Bergerac in series two. Also returning for the second series are My Family legend Zoë Wanamaker as Bergerac's mother-in-law Charlie Hungerford, Robert Gilbert as Barney Crozier and Wild Cherry star Chloé Sweetlove as Kim Bergerac.

Series two has also brought in a host of fresh faces with an impressive cast lineup. Here we examine all the Bergerac season 2 newcomers...

Adrian, 69, portrays Nigel, a charismatic new figure in Charlie's life.

The legendary comedy star and actor has featured in productions including Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Absolutely Fabulous, Holby City, Bancroft, Save Me, EastEnders, Bottom, The Young Ones and Miss Austen Regrets - amongst many others.

Charles, 63, has joined the programme as DS Ian Monkford.

Charles is most recognised for portraying Big Mac in Casualty from 2007 to 2021, Dennis Stringer in Coronation Street from 2000 to 2002, Gary Alcock in The Lakes, Clive Eustace in The Eustace Bros and more recently Leonard Gibson in Sherwood.

Lesley, 66, portrays Monica, the mother of Michael played by Turlough Convery and Nicola played by Camilla Beeput.

Lesley is most recognised for her portrayal of Detective Constable Janet Scott in the ITV crime series Scott and Bailey. Additional credits include Red Eye, Before We Die and The Full Monty - amongst others.

Jonathan Aris has joined the cast as Ch. Supt. Richard Gibbon.

Jonathan, 55, is most recognised for portraying Philip Anderson in Sherlock from 2010 to 2016, Raymond Galt in The Night Manager, Clive in The End of the F***ing World, Commander Roke in His Dark Materials and John Tennant in Red Eye.

Turlough, 35, portrays newcomer Michael.

Turlough boasts an extensive list of acting credits. Audiences will recognise him from the 2020 series of Killing Eve, where he portrayed Bear for seven episodes.

Additional credits include Liam in My Mad Fat Diary from 2014 to 2015, Tom Harry in Poldark from 2016 to 2018, Grantaire in Les Misérables in 2019, Arthur Parker in Sanditon from 2019 to 2023, Lord Mooton in House of the Dragon in 2024 and Dancer Blaine in Slow Horses in 2024.

Camilla, 44, portrays newcomer Nicola.

Camilla is best known for Fame Academy, Footballers' Wives, Peep Show, Birds of a Feather, The Split, Save Me, Sick Note, The Suspect and Dune: Prophecy.

Georgina, 49, takes on the role of newcomer Ruth.

Georgina is perhaps best recognised for her portrayal of Jane Spring in Heartstopper, Wilhelmina Fassbinder in Industry and Rosa Fallows in River - to name but a few.

Bergerac is available to stream for free on U, and via U on Channel 4
