Eternal Limited (earlier Zomato), which runs food delivery platform Zomato and quick commerce firm Blinkit, on April 28 said its quarterly profit after tax increased 71 percent year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 174 crore in the fourth quarter (Q4) of the financial year 2025-26 (FY26). It was Rs 39 crore in the same period last year. In the third quarter of FY 2026, the company had registered a PAT of Rs 102 crore. In a Reuters-LSEG poll of analysts, Q4 net profit was estimated at Rs 121 crore. This better-than-expected performance was driven by continued growth in the company's quick-commerce unit Blinkit and steady expansion in its core food delivery business (which also includes Zomato).
The company's profit for the entire financial year was Rs 366 crore, which is 31 percent less as compared to Rs 527 crore of the previous financial year. Whereas in the financial year 2024, the net profit of the company was Rs 351. Eternal's operational revenue increased by 196 percent to Rs 17,292 crore in Q4, from Rs 5,833 crore a year ago. In the last quarter, the company had registered a revenue of Rs 16,315 crore. For the full year, the company reported consolidated operating revenue of Rs 54,364 crore, up 169 per cent (YoY) compared to Rs 20,243 crore in FY20.
The stock market responded positively to these results. The stock gained ground erasing all its losses during the day. The stock recovered by 5.5 percent from the day's low and in afternoon trade it was trading at Rs 258.4 with a rise of 1.1 percent. The Gurugram-based company's total expenses increased to Rs 17,406 crore in the quarter ended March, from Rs 6,104 crore a year ago and Rs 16,493 crore a quarter earlier. For the full year, the company's expenses stood at Rs 55,145 crore, which is 167 percent more than last year's Rs 20,623 crore. Zomato ended the quarter with a cash balance of Rs 17,972 crore, slightly higher than Rs 17,820 crore in the previous quarter.
The revenue of Zomato's outgoing business increased by 21 percent to Rs 277 crore in Q4 FY26, compared to Rs 229 crore in Q4 FY25. Compared to the previous quarter, the revenue decreased by Rs 300 crore in Q3. The NOV of this business increased from Rs 2,587 crore a quarter ago to Rs 2,736 crore in Q3. The company had recorded NOV of Rs 1,868 crore last year.
