Raja Shivaji Underwater Shoot: When we see big action or emotional scenes in films, it often seems that all this would have been made easier with the help of VFX or body double. But many times the reality behind the scenes is completely different from this, where the actors risk their lives and make the scene real. One such shocking incident has come to light during the shooting of the film 'Raja Shivaji', which has shocked people.

Movie 'Raja Shivaji' Actress Disha Pardeshi has recently made a big revelation about her shooting experience. He told that for an important scene of the film, he had to shoot underwater for about 12 hours. The most surprising thing is that neither any body double was used in this entire scene nor the help of AI or VFX was taken, everything was completely real.

Took training for the scene

Disha Pardeshi is playing the role of Afzal Khan's wife in the film, in which one of his death scenes is shown. In this scene, his character is thrown into water and he has to act as if he is drowning underwater. Regarding the scene through Zoom, the actress said that the casting director first asked her if she knew how to swim. Not only this, he told that this scene was shot without oxygen mask, which increased its difficulty even more. Disha had to repeat the scene again and again by going underwater, so that both the expressions and acting could be captured properly.

Ritesh Deshmukh gave advice

The actress told that this scene was difficult, but also quite adventurous, I learned a lot during this sequence. She further said, just before the camera started rolling, Ritesh sir came to me and asked me if I could jump into the well from a height of 10 to 12 feet. She also said that if I do not feel comfortable, body doubles are ready. But, when your director is so supportive and understanding, shooting even difficult scenes becomes less stressful. His trust gave me confidence. We did not use any duplicate, VFX or AI to create that scene.
