Emergency response teams rescued around 75 people from dangerous heights and made 16 arrests during Arsenal’s Premier League trophy parade in London on Sunday.

Thousands of enthusiastic supporters filled the streets near the Emirates Stadium, hoping to catch a glimpse of their favourite players as the victory bus made its way through the crowd.

Amid clouds of red smoke, many fans climbed trees, rooftops, and traffic lights to get a better view of the celebrations.

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) reported rescuing about 75 individuals from elevated spots during the event and urged fans to refrain from climbing onto rooftops, as festivities were expected to continue into the evening.

Authorities also responded to a fire at a nearby hotel, suspected to have been started by a stray flare.

Assistant Commissioner of the LFB, Pat Goulbourne, said, “Fortunately, the fire caused only minor damage to the outer section of the building. Pyrotechnics are also believed to have triggered fire alarms at several other sites in the area.”

He added, “As supporters begin their journeys home, we urge them to avoid using pyrotechnics, especially near railway stations, and to keep them away from buildings or any flammable materials.”

Goulbourne praised the overall atmosphere, describing the event as “a fantastic sight,” noting that the majority of fans were celebrating their club’s success responsibly and safely.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that 16 arrests were made in the area around the Arsenal parade by 9 pm on Sunday.

According to the police, the arrests were related to offences such as disorderly conduct, intoxication, drug-related crimes, sexual assault, and assaulting emergency personnel.

Police officers also attended a stabbing incident on Hornsey Road shortly after 8:30 pm, responding alongside paramedics and an air ambulance. A man was taken to the hospital, where his condition is being assessed.

The Met Police deployed over 500 officers to manage the parade and maintain public order.

As the day turned into evening, north London remained alive with celebrations, with Arsenal supporters continuing to fill the streets.

Roads were left scattered with cans, bottles, broken e-bikes, and general litter from the day’s festivities.

Despite the mess, fans continued chanting and singing joyfully as they made their way towards nearby Tube stations, marking the end of a memorable day for Arsenal supporters.
