KL Rahul: Indian cricket team’s star wicketkeeper batsman KL Rahul has made a unique record in his name by scoring a brilliant century in the only test match being played against Afghanistan. On the first day of this match, Rahul batted brilliantly and scored 100 runs, but as soon as he touched this figure, he was out.

KL Rahul scored a brilliant century

On the first day of the Mullanpur Test, Indian wicketkeeper batsman KL Rahul displayed great composure, technique and patience while opening the match. In India’s first innings, Rahul faced 164 balls and scored 100 runs with the help of 11 fours. This was the 12th century of his Test career. However, after scoring a century, he was out on the very next ball of Ziaur Rehman Sharifi.

KL Rahul made a unique record

Let us tell you, this is the third consecutive time that KL Rahul scored a century in Test cricket, but his score could not go beyond 100. In the language of cricket it is called ‘hundred and out’. Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly were out for 100 runs twice each in their Test career, while Rahul has now been out for 100 runs thrice. Apart from this, Australia’s Steve Waugh and Graeme Wood were also out for 100 runs thrice.

At the top of this list is Len Hutton of England, who was out for exactly 100 runs four times in his career. However, unlike all these greats, Rahul made a record in his name which no one else had been able to make. Rahul has become the first batsman in the world to be out for 100 runs after scoring three consecutive centuries.
