India's leading IT company TCS has signed a multi-year and multi-million euro agreement with Canada Life, one of the world's largest life and pension insurance companies. Under this partnership, TCS will work to modernize Canada Life's IT infrastructure in Europe. The company will upgrade data centers, core infrastructure and software management systems using its AI and digital capabilities. With this agreement, TCS is expected to further strengthen its presence in the European market.
Under this new partnership, TCS will leverage its artificial intelligence and digital capabilities to manage and modernize Canada Life's data centres, core infrastructure, end-user computing systems and software lifecycle management. According to the company, this program will be an important part of Canada Life's long-term technology modernization strategy. Its objective is to make the tech service more robust, faster and flexible so that the system can respond rapidly to changing business needs. This initiative will increase the technical capability of the company and create a strong foundation for future digital needs.
This agreement has come at a time when Indian IT companies are continuously competing to win big contracts in Europe. After the pace of spending slowed down in North America, Europe has emerged as an important growth area for IT services. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and HCLTech are expanding their presence in the United Kingdom and other countries in Europe through local recruitment, delivery centers and industry-based services. This agreement with Canada Life will further strengthen TCS's position in the insurance sector and will give new impetus to its expansion in the UK and Ireland market.
Under the agreement, TCS will also invest in skill development of infrastructure service employees in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Isle of Man and Germany. For this, training, certification and career development programs will be run. Caroline Dibbs, Canada Life's Europe Chief IT Officer, said TCS was selected because of its technical expertise, transformational capabilities and collaborative working style. TCS' United Kingdom and Ireland head Vinay Singhvi said that this partnership strengthens the company's leadership in AI-based transformation and will enable Canada Life to achieve efficiency, strength and speed in its IT operations.
