Tezzbuzz Desk- The Indian cricket team has suffered a big setback before the ODI series against Afghanistan. Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been ruled out of the entire series. In his place, the team may face difficulties in maintaining balance.
According to the information, Hardik Pandya recently reached BCCI’s Center of Excellence in Bengaluru for fitness assessment. During this time, he suffered from strain in the quadriceps i.e. thigh muscle. It is being told that he was already recovering from the back spasm suffered during the IPL.
According to reports, he also bowled about 10 overs during the fitness test, but in the process this new injury came to light. Now after the advice of the medical team, he will have to undergo at least three weeks of rehabilitation. In such a situation, it is not possible for him to play in the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan.
It is noteworthy that the news of him being declared fit had come out a day before, but after a new injury came to light, his return has been postponed once again.
The series will start from June 14 in Dharamshala, while the second match will be played on June 17 in Lucknow and the third match will be played on June 20 in Chennai.
Hardik Pandya is an important player for Team India, who provides balance in both batting and bowling. His fitness is being continuously monitored after the 2023 ODI World Cup. The team management wants to keep him completely fit keeping the 2027 ODI World Cup in mind.
