Warning was issued last week

For example, last week the Five Eyes, an intelligence-sharing alliance of English-speaking countries that includes Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and the US, issued a bulletin warning that China was targeting workers in these countries on job-related websites to obtain confidential or sensitive information. The bulletin said that Chinese military intelligence spies, working as employees of private companies or think tanks, advertise for fake jobs such as foreign policy or defense analysts and pressure candidates to provide information.

These fake websites used fraudulently obtained or stolen identities and AI-generated images to appear real. They also advertised general consulting jobs for current or former US government employees.
