“Portugal’s squad is strong across all lines, full of experience, and almost every player is on fire right now,” Dian Agus said on Saturday (May 30, 2026).
Dian highlighted Portugal’s balanced power in every department – from a defence anchored by top talents such as Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, and Joao Neves of PSG, to the creative midfield featuring Bernardo Silva and Premier League’s top assist provider Bruno Fernandes, with Ruben Dias as the defensive pillar. The goalkeeping position is also well-secured by the reliable Diogo Costa, who has consistently performed at a high level.
“They also have a solid trio in midfield. And up front, of course, there’s Cristiano Ronaldo. That’s why I’m backing Portugal,” added the former Persatuan Sepakbola Ponorogo player.
He also noted that this will be Cristiano Ronaldo’s sixth World Cup appearance, which could very well be his last.
