Meta AI Glasses Launch— Tech giant Meta Platforms, in collaboration with glasses manufacturing giant EssilorLuxottica, has launched its new AI-powered smart glasses in the market. These are officially named Meta Glasses. The starting price of this new wearable lineup of the company has been fixed at $299 (approximately Rs 28,000). This new lineup is an upgrade and a new look of the company’s old Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta wearables, which has been introduced with completely new designs. Its sale has started in the American and European markets from today, but Indian customers will have to wait for a while for it.
This time Meta has made a big change in branding and directly promoted them with the name ‘Meta Glasses’. The company has introduced a total of three new frame styles. The first one is Meta Adventurer with classic rectangular shape and the second one is Meta Fury frame for those who want a bold look. Pricing for both starts at $299.
The biggest attraction of this launch is the special edition designed in collaboration with American celebrity Kylie Jenner, which is named Meta Glasses by Kylie (Starfire Edition). The price of this premium glass with slim oval shape is $399 (approximately Rs 37,500). It also has the option to use Kylie’s voice for Meta AI, along with features like small gems on the frame and an adjustable nose bridge that makes it easy to clean makeup.
These glasses work on Meta’s newest and advanced AI model Muse Spark. This model, developed by Meta Superintelligence Labs, allows users to give commands directly by speaking without touching the phone. Its main technical features are as follows:
The most important thing for tech lovers is that from today Meta has made these glasses live on its website, Amazon, Best Buy and retail stores like Sunglass Hut in select global countries including US, Canada, Australia, UK, France and Germany. However, Meta has not yet officially announced its price or availability date for the Indian market. Experts of the Indian tech market believe that by the end of this year or the beginning of next year, they will be available on selected online platforms in India.
