According to religious texts, the festival of Gupt Navratri is celebrated from Ashadh Shukla Pratipada Tithi to Navami Tithi. This time the festival of Gupt Navratri will be celebrated from 15th July to 23rd July 2026. During these nine days, different forms of the Goddess will be worshiped with Tantra-Mantra.

According to scholars, the festival of Ashadh Gupta Navratri is not for the common people because in this the goddess is pleased with tantra-mantra. This festival is important for Tantra seekers. Kalash is established on the first day of this Navratri, which this time will be done on 15th July, Wednesday. The auspicious time for establishing Kalash is as follows – 05:33 am to 10:09 am.
In Gupta Navratri, the Goddess is worshiped not with Satvik but with Tamasic things, hence it is prohibited for the common people. In this Navratri, Tantrik pleases the Goddess through Panch Makar. These five Makaras are – Madya (liquor), Manas (meat), Matsya (fish), Mudra (grains) and Maithuna (sexual intercourse).
